Select
The Select grading is a breathtaking option for those seeking a harmonious and soothing atmosphere. It’s clean with some colour variations and fewer whole knots. Blend
The Blend grading is the best of two worlds: a mixture of Select and Nature. This unique grading blends the elegance of Select with the character of Nature, creating a clean-looking floor with a few visible grains and knots. Nature
The Nature grading celebrates the natural beauty of wood. The following natural imperfections preserve the integrity of our hardened wood floors.
Opened and closed knots, cat paw and cracks in the surface are not product defects and in no way compromise the quality or durability of our wood flooring. Likewise, medullary rays, colour variations and mineral streaks are unique features that embrace nature's uniqueness and beauty. These expected imperfections maintain the depth and personality of our wood flooring.
Knots and natural variations are part of the character of real wood and can be more prominent in livelier gradings. In our manufacturing process, knots and natural irregularities are filled with a specially developed wood powder that is pressed into the surface as the board is compressed.
When the floor is brushed to enhance the natural wood texture, a small amount of the filling material may be removed. This can result in subtle differences in height between the wood and filled areas and is a natural part of the product’s appearance.
As part of our commitment to more sustainable production, the filling material is coloured with lightly carbonised wood powder instead of traditional colour pigments. This reduces the use of added colourants while maintaining a natural look.
Colour variations in wood floors are natural and expected. These variations result from differences in the wood species, age and exposure to light. Over time, the wood may change colour due to sunlight and oxidation, enhancing its unique and natural beauty.
