The circular main building literally floats on the Lule River and houses a restaurant, bar, lounge and various sauna and treatment rooms. In the centre of the building, there is a hole in the wooden deck where guests can swim in the cold water bath, which is open all year round.
The facade is surrounded by timber and is meant to symbolize timber quarry, i.e. a collection of timber logs - because it was at this exact place that timber was transported in the past.
In all hotel rooms, a hardened wood floor with dark hard wax oil from Bjelin has been installed - even the floor is a floating installation!
