Weaving multiple aspects into the choice of flooring

The architects at Krook & Tjäder are behind the design of the new landmark Quality Hotel The Weaver in Mölndal, Sweden. The exterior has a fantastic variegated façade consisting of glass and metal sections in copper tone and uncoloured metal. The 22 floors offer a mix of conference rooms, restaurants, bars, and an impressive 370 guest rooms.

For a modern and harmonious interior design, a hardened wood floor from Bjelin was used in many of the common areas and several of the guest rooms. The combination of durable lacquer and cured surface makes the floor more impact-resistant in high-traffic public spaces. The spacious common areas also posed a challenge to the architects in their choice of wooden flooring – where only a hardened wood floor with Bjelin's patented click lock technology met the high specifications. The hardened wood floor also helps to make the hotel easy to maintain, thus providing the best experience for Its guests.
